There has been a very healthy scooter scene in the Gosport and Fareham area for many years, with a big Lambretta interest.

The high point of this was probably 1970 when the Solent City Scooter Club was the biggest club in the country at the time!

Fast forward to 1991 and two mates who had been going to rallies since 1982 thought are we the only ones left?

We found two more, lets start a club! Why not?

Several names were thought about, The Four Horseman? The Horny Bastards? Anal Discharge? Remember this was 1991!

Given we thought we were the only ones left and at that time Lambretta's (before all the imports) were very thin on the ground, we liked alot of Punk and the UK Subs did a song called Endangered Species! So the club was born.

As with all new things there was alot of interest to start, at one time we had nearly 30 members, but big is not always beautiful.

We have have had many functions over the years and plan to have a few more so watch this space, currently there is about 16 of us and we all get on....I think.

We meet the first Monday of the month at the Surf Bar in Lee about 19.30, so if you fancy a beer and a chat come say hello .
